1.4.1 A squad has to be able to play at least one match each weekend.
1.5 The League Coordinators must receive notification by Thursday 23:59 am GMT prior to the start of the match if you wish to reschedule. A Captain or trustee from each squad must agree to the request.
1.5.1 The League Coordinators have the final say on all reschedule requests.
1.5.2. The League Coordinators will determine the timeslot and date of any rescheduled match.
1.6 A Preliminary Schedule will be announced five (5) days prior to the start of the season. Times are subject to change throughout the season.
1.7 Practice matches can be played during normal league times only if all games for a timeslot have been cancelled or postponed and only if the practice match will finish before the next scheduled league match.

Grading/Pre-League

2.1 Squads who will be participating in league will play a round of grading matches.
2.1.1 Grading matches will not be rescheduled.
2.2 A squad can qualify for league by averaging 10 pilots per game. All ten (10) players need to be eligible in the database. At least nine (9) players should be within lag limits.
2.2.1 The final grading of a squad is made by the coordinators in special cases where the requirements of rule 2.2 have not been met.
2.3 These games do not count towards the seasons score, they are simply being used to ensure that all squads are stable and meet standard requirements for DSB League.
2.4 Coordinator Based Scheduling will be used, the Schedule/League Coordinators will randomly assign squads to matches.
2.5 The Schedule/League Coordinator must give a five (5) days notice to the date of games.

3.1 Squad registrations are accepted up to the date and time specified at the league database (http://www.league.nu).
3.2 A minimum of 18 players (including the captain) is required to register a Squad.
3.3 All squad rosters are limited to 30 players.
3.3.1 You may receive 5 additional roster spots for rookies/returning veterans
3.3.2 A rookie is a player who has never played in a league match before.
3.3.3 A returning pilot is a player who did not play in any league matches in previous four (4) DSB League Seasons.
3.3.4 Squads must submit a list of their rookies and returning pilots to the League Coordinators.
3.4 League Coordinators reserve the right to refuse a player or squad entrance to league, or remove them after they have been accepted into league in the event that they are deemed to break any standing rules of league or Death Star Battle Zone.
3.5 All Players must be registered in the database by a valid e-mail address.
3.6 Players are not allowed to let other people use their name under any circumstances. If staff is confident that this occurred the player(s) caught will be banned from league. The squad playing with this player will forfeit the game in the regular season. During playoffs they will be disqualified. If staff does not feel confident enough to make a determination on who was actually playing the match, the player(s) involved will be banned without any squad penalty.
3.7 Player eligibility has a fourteen (14) day waiting period; the countdown starts as soon as the player joins a squad in the database, or from the time that a player changes squads.
3.7.1 The players that were on a dissolved squad’s roster in the database at the time that the squad officially dissolved will have their eligibility time waived if they join a new squad within 2 weeks of the dissolvement.
3.7.2 Players who have been kicked from the squad’s league roster 36 hours before or after the recruit lock receive a chance to be drafted into other squad if squads have room for them. Refusing to be drafted to a certain squad will mean that you will not be playing at all.
3.8 It is a captain’s responsibility to ensure that player details are correct (the Database is not case sensitive). Referees are not allowed to let a player into a match if the player has spelt his/her name incorrectly.
3.9 All league players will be made eligible if registered in the database by Saturday 23:59 GMT prior to the first grading-round.
3.10 A player is only allowed to belong to one league squad at any one time. If you are caught double-squadding you will be banned from League. A Squad found promoting double-squadding will be banned from League.
3.11 A player is only allowed to have one account at the league website at one time.

Games

6.2 In the event that no Referee turns up at the match within 5 minutes of the original starting time, it will be rescheduled.
6.3. A minimum of eight players on each team to start a game. If a game has not started within 5 minutes of its scheduled starting time the game will be considered a forfeit by the team that has not reached the minimum number of players. If neither team reaches the minimum number required then the match will be declared a double forfeit.
6.3.1 If both 6.2 and 6.3 are in effect then 6.2 will supersede 6.3.
6.4 A game will be considered started once both teams reach the minimum starting number.
6.5 If both squads have 8-12 eligible pilots at game time, but one squad has more eligible pilots at game time, the match will be played evenly. One frequency cannot have more players in the game than the other.

6.7 Captains or Trustee’s are to decide who is playing and who is not to play.
6.8 Captains are to nominate at least two players before the start of the match who are to be placed into spectator mode if the squads become uneven. In case both these players are already in spec, the referee will spec the player with the lowest amount of points from a team.

Game Play

7.1 The game will consist of two 30 Minute halves (60 minutes total).
7.1.1 A game can end early if one squad surrenders to the other squad. At half time a captain/trustee of a squad can offer to surrender to the captain/trustee of the other squad. If the captain/trustee of the other squad accepts the surrender the match ends once the captains/trustees of each squad notify the referee. If the surrender is not accepted the match will continue.
7.1.2 When surrender takes place the score at half time becomes the final score of the game.
7.1.3 The squad that surrendered does not forfeit the match.
7.2 There will be a one minute, 30 second and 10 second notification before the match starts. When the match starts the Referee will send an arena message GO GO GO! There will be no countdown between 10 seconds and zero.
7.3 After the first half all players must immediately return to the safe zone when the Referee notifies the zone of half time. Failure to follow this could result in the Player or team being disqualified from the game.
7.4 Players disrupting other squad during half time or during the game by shooting in No Kill Zone or flagging during the half time will be also specced and excluded from the game.
7.5 Flags will be reset after the first half. The Referee must notify in an arena message the following information: Squad Name. Team Points. Team Wins. Team Losses.
7.6 During the first half Frequency 0 will use ships 1-4. Frequency 1 will use ships 5-8. During the second half Frequency 0 will use ships 5-8. Frequency 1 will use ships 1-4.
7.6.1 A coin toss or something similar that produces a random outcome will be made by the referee to determine starting frequency for the squads.
7.7 Legal-ship Enforcement, the Referee's will use standard DSB warnings. Failure to comply after the second warning will result in a Player being placed into spectator mode for the rest of the match.
7.8 All matches will be played as a no-blue-match unless both captains request blue to stay open. When there is no blue the entire arena is locked from talking in the public "blue" channel, except for Moderators.
7.9 If during a match the blue messages become distraction or interference with the match or refereeing, a Referee or Captain may call no blue at that time.
7.10 Squads that have ineligible player(s) participating in an official league match will forfeit that match, regardless of the outcome.
7.11 All messages regarding the match must be privately sent to the Host Referee.
7.12 There is no limit to the amount of times a player can spawn in a match.
7.13 High Latency and High Packet loss, any player with a packet loss of over 1.5% or 2% combined (S2C+C2S) will be placed into spectator mode. A player with ping average or current of over 260ms will also be placed into spectator mode.
7.13.1 A player found abusing the lag system will be banned from DSB League. This includes both slowing down your connection to the server and slowing down your machine.
7.13.1.2 It is up to the League Coordinators to judge if a player is abusing the lag system or not.
7.13.2 Referees have the discretion to stop the game when the average or current ping of all players is above 260ms. This is determined by using the *lag command.
7.13.2.2 In the event that a match is stopped due to lag or system failure, the match will be rescheduled.
7.13.3 A player’s connection stability will be monitored through the match bot and if the player exceeds 6 spikes or more during 160seconds he will be put into spectator mode.
7.13.4 A player found repeatedly above 260ms in current or average ping will be put into spectator mode.
7.14 Disconnections, players may re-enter if they have been disconnected. The Captain can decide whether the player gets back into the game or whether he substitutes them.
7.15 A Player may only substitute for a squad if they are registered in the database as part of that squad.
7.16 The team that wins a match will be the team with the highest score as determined by the League Bot.
7.17 If the League Bot is unavailable due to crash or other malfunction, the game will be rescheduled.

10.1.1 Appeals will only be accepted from Captains or Trustee’s (as described in the League 11 Database).
10.1.1.1 The Captain or Trustee should send an e-mail to the League Coordinators with the subject "Appeal on the match [squad1] vs. [Squad2], played on [date] – Referee [Name]”.
10.2 If a Referee receives a request for an appeal from a participating Captain, after reporting the scores he will publicly announce, "The results of this match are under appeal by (Squad)". Referees cannot declare a result of an appeal
10.2.1 Once a match result is appealed the Referees must take all evidence (logs, scores, etc.) and send them to the League Coordinator along with an explanation of the events and their opinions on the events.
10.2.2 Both captains have the right to submit their version of events. This must be received by the league coordinator via email within 48 hours of being notified that there is an appeal.
10.2.3 The League Coordinator will consider the information presented to him and make the final decision on the matter. If a reschedule is warranted the League Coordinator will then schedule a new match time and notify the Captains, if not, the results of the match stand.
10.2.4 If an appeal is denied the appealing squad will lose one point.
10.3 All complaints should be made to the Referee at the time of the incident.
